Germany: Price war in German food retail industry is only justified to a limited extent

July 12, 2010 - Only a few product groups in the German food retail industry are subject to a genuine price war. This is the finding of a joint survey conducted by GfK Panel Services and SAP Germany, in which the 275 most popular product groups in the area of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) were investigated in terms of price sensitivity among consumers across Germany. Change in the Management Board of the GfK Group

June 14, 2010 - Dr. Gérard Hermet, member of the Management Board of GfK SE with responsibility for the Retail and Technology sector, will be leaving the company’s Management Board of his own volition at the end of the year.
